If you are able to donate either a crockpot of soup or a loaf of bread for the meal, please sign up on the Info-Tower.
Also during Lent, there will be a Prayer Wall next to the office door in the hall. You will find slips of paper and pens for you to write prayer concerns, and then you may pin them to the board. Your prayer concerns need not be signed. In addition, you are encouraged to collect loose change and drop your coins in the various containers throughout the Church. All money collected will go to the Malaria Nets campaign ... thank you!
At St. John/St. Paul Lutheran Church, the Wednesday evening OASIS supper and programs will continue throughout Lent. Also, St. John/St. Paul will host a series of soup luncheons each Friday in March. Pastor Rick Gordon will lead a brief devotional after each meal.
Pastor Coffman is a Published Author!
Senior Pastor Landis Coffman, Jr. has published his first book, entitled "The Price of Being Alive: A Fresh Way to Understand Suffering." Indeed suffering has been a mystery ever since human life began. All religions have commented on this certainty of life. Yet everyone continues to search for new ways to understanding suffering. The Price of Being Alive will challenge and awaken you to a new perspective of an old and encompassing problem of human existence. Copies are available for purchase at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, located at 50 N. Prospect Street in Akron. Cost is $12.
