The functions and duties of the Care & Fellowship Team consist of the following:
- Assist the staff, Cabinet, and the other Ministry Teams involved in caring, sharing and fellowship activities.
- Plan and implement an internal Social Ministry Caring Program, which may include, but not be limited to: Prayer Chain, bereavement meals, crisis meals, cradle roll, parish nurse program, and telephone chains.
- Provide crisis care for members, which may include, but not be limited to: hospital visitation, follow-up home visits, pastoral counseling, counseling referrals, care casseroles and crisis meals.
- Create, manage and encourage activities to promote health and fellowship.
- Develop congregation support groups for staff.
Bereavement Meals

Bereavement meals are provided to support families in grief following the death of a loved one, bringing comfort to bereaved family and friends. At the family’s request, a meal is provided following a funeral or memorial service.
Holy Trinity Food Pantry
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the last week of the month bags of food are provided to those who come to our doors. Each guest must provide a photo ID to receive a bag of groceries.
Parish Nurse Program & Parish Nurse Corner

The Parish Nurse Program is a group of registered nurses who use their time and talents to assist the members of the congregation in health and wellness issues by conducting blood pressure screening, publishing health related articles in the monthly Church newsletter, maintaining a resource library and bulletin board displays, and having durable medical equipment available for use by members and friends.
Prayer Chain

The Prayer Chain is a group of Church members who pray for other members and friends in need of special support. Click here to make a Prayer Request.
Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry is a group of Church members who knit prayer shawls to provide comfort and warmth to those in need.
Trinity Stampers

Trinity Stampers is a group of Church members who create many types of cards which are used in the Care Ministry. Trinity Stampers meet the 3rd Friday of each month at 10 a.m. in the Scharf Library.
Soup Ministry
Members of the congregation are asked that when making soup for their families to make extra and put in a plastic container, which is labeled with the type of soup and the date it is prepared. The soup is then shared as needed with members (such as shut-ins andthose recovering from illness or surgery).
Trinitarians

Trinitarians are are older adults who gather for Christian fellowship and programs. The Trinitarians meet the 4th Friday September through June at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel Lounge (unless otherwise noted).
Either Side of 40 Gang

The Either Side of 40 Gang includes men and women of all ages, singles and couples who meet for fellowship activities on the fourth Sunday of the month. This group always warmly welcomes everyone into their fellowship.
Leadership, Service, Fellowship (L.S.F.)

L.S.F. promotes its core strengths of leadership, service and fellowship in the women of the congregation. Women are actively involved with various community service projects that are done throughout the year. L.S.F. meets the 4th Monday in January, April and September and the 2nd Monday in December. Meetings are at 10 a.m. at the Church.
Lutheran Lazy Loafers

On the third Friday of each month, at noon, September through May, the men of Holy Trinity gather together for an hour of lunch and fellowship at the Waterloo Restaurant.
